Part Number: N1980. Strange S-Trac differentials use helical gears for optimum strength while retaining smooth operation similar to a posi. Under normal conditions they operate like an open differential, but once slippage occurs a force is created between the pinion and side gears which generate friction, slowing the spinning tire and sending power to the one with the most traction.
